Today (15th August) the Postal Executive of the CWU drew up a timetable for industrial action in the event that Royal Mail senior managers don’t now get round the table and talk with CWU officials regarding the issues embodied within the Four Pillars of Security campaign.
To date none of Royal Mail senior officials have been in face to face talks with the Union, and little progress has been made.
The timetable allows for further meaningful negotiations as far as the CWU is concerned and gives a clear deadline of 6th September for further talks with Royal Mail before they give notification of industrial action, in the event those talks do not lead to meaningful proposals from Royal Mail which deals with the Union and it’s members legitimate concerns.
