Music has always been one of the best ways to get your message across, and British musicians have used it to get their message across. Back in 1985 the Blow Monkeys released their iconic anti-Thatcher album entitled, ‘She Was Only A Grocer’s Daughter!
Again in the general election of 2010, Captain Ska released a music video entitled ‘Slipping Back In Time’ which did very well in galvanising the art and music worlds against the Tories.
They did a similar video in 2011 entitled ‘Liar’ Liar’ attacking George Osbourne and David Cameron’s lies about the NHS and the economy.
Now they are back again with a music video, entitled ‘She’s A Liar’ aimed at Theresa May’s Tories which deals with the ‘untruths’ of May and her ministers, as it seem that British politics now find it ok to blatantly lie to the public, as they did during the EU Referendum campaign.
Let’s make it back to 1997 instead of 1979 – oust the ‘Ghost of Thatcher’ and put Jeremy Corbyn and Labour back in Number 10!
