An Accidental Pop Star Appears At Glastonbury

As long ago as the early 1960s popular music and politics have successfully mixed in a genre of music that became known as the ‘protest song’ and still continues It sporned such memorable songs such as Paul Hardcastle’s ‘19‘, Barry McGuire’s ‘Eve of Destruction’, Marvin Gaye’s ‘Abraham, Martin, And John‘, Bob Dylan’s ‘The times They Are A-Changin‘ and of course John Lennon’s ‘Give Peace A Chance‘ and The Scorpian’s ‘Wind Of Change‘.

But none were written or performed by actual politicians – until this year’s world famous annual open-air music festival held in the UK – Glastonbury!

So, just who was the politician who became an accidental pop star? Did he actually sing? Well the answer to that can be seen below in the form of Jeremy Corbyn, and no, he did not sing!

Oh, and by the way, don’t wait to hear Boris Johnson’s claims made in Parliament this week that Corbyn said he would scrap Trident, because it is simply yet another Boris Johnson lie!
